The Radwinter Road, Saffron Walden “PPP” gets handed over to L&Q

Another completed pre-packaged plant room solution delivered by Helec Limited completes its final commissioning in 2019 and gets handed over to L&Q’s latest development of 73 apartments.
This project was developed by the main contractor Engie who have provided much needed assisted living for over 55 year olds at Radwinter Road, Saffron Walden, Essex.

The Energimizer EM22NG CHP unit was supplied and commissioned by Helec Ltd as part of the full Design & Build plant room solution package providing the sites services via the district scheme delivering on-site thermal & electrical loads in order to ensure comfort living 24/7 for the 73 dwellings & the mixed use communal areas whilst also providing low cost managed services for the landlord to pass on.
Readily available domestic hot water and space heating is delivered to each apartment through Evinox ModuSat Heat Interface Units, all connected up with heat meters through wireless connectivity ensuring real time metering and billing.

Within the plant room scheme designed and installed by Helec are the following main components to ensure maximum operating efficiencies;
1 x EM22NG Energimizer Combined Heat & Power unit
3 x Remeha Quinta Ace 160kW boilers connected on a low loss header
1 x 8,000 litre Thermal Store
1 x Grundfos Double headed district pump
1 x Spirotrap Air & dirt Seperator
1 x Spill & Fill set
1 x Vacuum Gegasser
1 x Sectional split water tank
1 x Hydromag water conditioner
