A new build development of 47 apartments within a residential assisted living complex in Devizes, Wiltshire was opened in the summer of 2017 providing 1 & 2 bed apartments for people aged over 55 years old.
Wiltshire Council through Homes4Wiltshire provide assisted living and extra care services if and when needed. Independent living with onsite care facilities, a communal area activity lounge, launderette and a café provide much needed social interaction for elderly residents within the local community.

Needham House

Wiltshire Council charge the residents a fixed rate for rent per month for these apartments and they needed to ensure they could manage their running costs and maintain the living comfort levels for all resident’s needs, which is where Helec supplied and commissioned a EM16NG Energimizer Combined Heat & Power unit to provide a thermal heat base load of 35kW/th for the space heating and domestic hot water usage whilst also generating 16kW/e on site electricity per hour reducing their electrical costs by 140,160kWh

The EM16NG CHP performance design has long running hours with a service interval required only after every 4000 hours forecasting to save Wiltshire Council more than £9,650.00 per year in energy costs for Needham House along with annual CO² savings of more than 52,700 kgs.
Helec Ltd have worked with Wiltshire Council for several years supplying & servicing CHP units which all help to reduce running costs to their leisure centres and public swimming pools throughout the county.
